While not a patch on what the US Midwest has got/is getting, Toronto has been getting some tolerably emphatic thunderstorms fairly regularly over the last week or so. (One presumes Thor considers our troll infestations worth bothering with.)
This wasn't the first thunderstorm to blow in sending wind ahead of itself; I think it might have been the third.
The SMC Pentax 35mm macro lens, and me trying to figure out if I can focus on the raindrops on the window glass on purpose, since the autofocus was going for them about a third of the time. (It is very hard to feel even the least bit guilty about buying this lens...)
Out the front door.
Aoife would normally react to me holding the front door open by making a break for her favourite round-the-corner bit of concrete sidewalk, back scritching rolls, cats, for the use of, but oddly enough not while I was taking this picture.

Here comes the rain again...

Do you have many trolls in Toronto these days?
I would not have said particularly many, but there has been a fair bit of bridge work going on, so perhaps they're migrating?
I realize it's unwise to suppose anything about the activities of a storm god that requires there to be a better reason than "ooh, loud crashing booming noise! let's do that again!" but still. Place is getting thumped; whatever trolls there are must feel few and unsafe, even without regard to heavy vehicular traffic.
I must laugh rather a lot, but I am quite fond of a more southerly and perhaps overall less benevolently inclined storm god than yours. I suspect the satisfactory nature of loud noises to be a commonly held opinion among such regardless of geographical point of origin.
It would be much better to go be the god of mass wasting or fluvial excess or something if one didn't like the loud noises, after all.
Or maybe they secretly wear earplugs when smiting; doesn't fit the image, but practicality matters.
Those would be some earplugs!
(Neb.y Set has Large Ears in most representations ...)
First, obtain a nerf football...
Though large ears does not equate to large ear canals, really. It might equate to difficulty using the regular expanding foam sort of plugs.
