One of the pine siskins, poking through the fallen thistle-seed husks for an unhulled one. (There being at that time quite some number of goldfinches on the finch feeder...)A good demonstration of the very narrow depth of field with the 800mm mirror lens; a teeny bird with its tail feathers in focus and its head not.
