I don't know what the building is; everything of architectural note seems to be lit up at night in Edinburgh. The rooves are over bits of train platform if my all-too-fallible memory plays me not false.
I think that's the Balmoral, which used to be the railway hotel, but which has gone considerably upscale.
It's much nicer looking from the bridge at night than it is when you're walking around it trying to reach the bridge so you can peer down at the railway below.
I had the significant advantage of native guides, but by that time I was also on the outside of several pints of cider so the route-finding part of my brain was not subsequently particularly specific.
