Speckled Mousebird

Not , you understand, that I am willing to be responsible for being specific about why the name includes "speckled".
Two because yesterday didn't happen, since my phone line elected to become dysfunctional and took my DSL with it.

Cheerful, friendly, ept fellow from Bell showed up a day early tonight and solved the problem, despite having to traipse through a parking garage, pry some stuck covers off things, and get me to dismantle my basement ceiling. (Horrible fiberglass dropped ceiling tile. At least easy to replace and not actually brittle.)

So yay! for a strongly regulated telecoms industry.
